Pape Diakhaté: "I think I did not deserve a red card"
1 September 2008
Dynamo defender Pape Diakhaté spoke to the journalists after the Week 7 match against Metalurh Donetsk.
- I think I did not deserve a red card. I saw our opponent hitting Badr when he was lying on the ground. I wanted to support Badr. Probably, I should not have reacted like that and I wasn't expecting to be booked but it's a football. The referee made a decision and I had to agree. I apologised afterwards to the coach and the team-mates for my actions. What about your physical condition? - The whole team feels great physically and psychologically. Things have only got better for us. So, I really hope that things will go our way in the Champions League too. - Is it normal for you to play games twice a week? - Definitely. Thanks to Vincenzo Pincolini we are as fit as a fiddle. We work hard every day and it gives us perfect result. - Do you consider Arsenal the strongest team in Group G? - I think there are two strongest teams in the group - Arsenal and Dynamo. We have to gain victories at least on home soil. We’ll do everything in our power to achieve this goal. www.fcdynamo.kiev.ua
