The Channel One Cup will take place in Israel in January 2009 for the fourth time. Following the draw in Moscow, Dynamo Kyiv will compete with CSKA, Krylya Sovetov and Metalist Kharkiv in Group 1, while other Ukrainian clubs Shakhtar and Dnipro are joined in Group 2 by Zenit and Dynamo Moscow.
